Battery care and use instructions
Your new battery comes in a discharged condition and must be charged before use.
Upon initial use (or after prolonged storage period) the battery may require two to three charge/discharge cycles before achieving maximum capacity.
If the battery is not going to be used for more than a month, it is recommended that it be removed from the device and stored in a cool, dry, clean place.
It is normal for a battery to become warm during charging and discharging.
A charged battery will eventually lose its charge if unused. It may therefore be necessary to recharge the battery after a storage period.
Battery DON'T S
Do not short-circuit a battery. A short-circuit may cause damage to the battery.
Do not drop, hit or otherwise abuse the battery as this may result in the exposure of the cell contents, which are corrosive.
Do not expose the battery to moisture or rain.
Keep battery away from fire or other sources of extreme heat. Do not incinerate. Exposure of batteries to extreme heat may result in an explosion.
What is the memory effect?
Ni-Cad batteries suffer from what's called the memory effect.
This means that if a battery is continually only partially discharged before re-charging, the battery forgets that is has the capacity to further discharge all the way down.
To illustrate:
1. If you, on a regular basis, fully charge your battery and then use only 50% of its capacity before the next recharge, eventually the battery will become unaware of it's extra 50% capacity which has remained unused.
2. Your battery will remain functional, but only at 50% of its
original capacity.
3. The way to avoid the dreaded memory effect is to fully cycle (fully charge and then fully discharge) your battery at least once every month.
4. Batteries can be discharged by unplugging the device' AC adapter and letting the device run on the battery until it ceases to function.
5. This will ensure your battery remains healthy. Ni-Mh and Li-Ion batteries do not suffer the memory effect.
My new battery ist't charing what's the deal.
1. New batteries are shipped in a discharged condition and must be charged before use.
2. We generally recommend an overnight charge (approximately twelve hours). Refer to your user is manual for charging instruction.
3. Rechargeable batteries should be cycled - fully charged and then fully discharged - 2 to 4 times initially to allow them to reach their full capacity. (Note: It is perfectly normal for a battery to become warm to the touch during charging and discharging).
4. New batteries are hard for your device to charge; they have never been fully charged and are therefore "unformed". Sometimes your device's charger will stop charging a new battery before it is fully charged. If this happens, simply remove the battery from your device and then re-insert it.
5. The charge cycle should start again. This may happen several times during your first battery charge. Don't worry; it's perfectly normal.
How are batteries rated?
There are two ratings on every battery: Volts and Milliamp-hour (mAh). The voltage of the new battery should always match the voltage of your original. Some of our batteries will have higher amp-hour ratings that the original battery found in your device.
This is indicative of a longer run-time (high capacity) and will not cause any incompatibilities.
Remember: in some cases, the voltage will differ from the original battery. This often happens when both a Li-Ion battery and a Ni-Mh battery are available for the laptop.
How long should my battery last?
The life of a rechargeable battery operating under normal conditions is generally between 500 to 800 charge-discharge cycles.
This translates into one and a half to three years of battery life for the average user.
As your rechargeable battery begins to die, you will notice a decline in the run time of the battery. When your two-hour battery is only supplying you with an hour worth of use, it is time for a new battery.
Battery Usage Tips
1. New battery pack must be fully charged before use.
2. New battery pack needs to be fully charged and discharged (cycled) a few times before it can condition to full capacity.
3. Rechargeable batteries undergo self-discharging when left unused. Always store a battery pack in a fully charged staged for storage.
4. Fully drain and fully recharged your battery pack every few months
5. Turn down the LCD brightness of your portable device.
6. Use built-in power management on your portable device.
7. Turn off LCD or other unnecessary accessories when not in used.
8. Set screen saver blank to 1 to 2 minutes of your notebook
9. Add more RAM if you have extra RAM expansion slot, it will reduce the usage of hard drive and it is power exhaustive.
10. Close unused software in your notebook.
11. Remove unused PC Cards or USB devices from your notebook.
12. Don't watch DVD or play graphics intensive video games.
13. Don't short circuit terminal or store your battery pack with metal parts.
14. Don't drop or mutilate the battery pack.
15. Don't expose to moisture or water.
16. It is normal to get warm when charging or normal use. If it is getting too hot, there may be a problem with the device and qualified personnel should check it.
White line appears while printing with wider coverage.
Cleanout the printer by the cleanning tools in the printer driver.
The cartridge cannot be recognized after installation.
If the cartridges can not be recognized, please re-install the cartridge and see if it can be recoginized; If not, please replace by a new cartridge or new chip;
If still not, it means the touch connecting the cartridge and the printer distorted and should be repaired.
No ink can be supplied in printing by a new cartridge.
If no ink supplied, please cleanout the printer by the cleaning tools in the printer driver;
If unsolved, please take out the cartridge and check if the air circulation part is normal, if not, please tear the label completely.
Obvious color deflection appears in pictures printing.
Color deflection appears in printing mainly because some certain colors have white lines. Generally, it can be solved by cleanning-out the printer by the cleanning tools in the printer driver.
Printer doesn't work after correct installation of the cartridge.
It is mainly because the driver or USB data route is not installed correctly. Please re-install the printer driver or USB date route.
